A custom author website built to sell books: one home for the whole series, a free chapter that converts, buy links to every retailer, and a mailing list that grows while you write the next one.
Domain, hosting and deployment included. No monthly retainer.
The work
One fictional demo, and three concepts we built for real authors before they ever hired us — a debut romance launch, a crime series, and a non-fiction author with two audiences. Click any one to open it.
The three concepts are unsolicited design studies, not commissioned work. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by the authors, and each carries that notice on the page. We build one for free for any author who asks — including you.
The usual state of things
Not because they are ugly. Because of small, fixable things that nobody ever tells the author about.
The link in bio expires
An Eventbrite page or a retailer link is not a home. After launch night there is nowhere for a reader to land.
Pages that go nowhere
A “free chapter” link that serves the homepage, a shop with no products. They return 200, so nothing looks broken.
Buy links to one retailer
The book is on Amazon, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and Apple. The site sends everyone to whichever one the author remembered.
A series that reads as a pile
No Book One, no Book Two, no reading order. New readers cannot tell where to start, so they don't.
Reviews sitting on Goodreads
Real praise from real readers, doing nothing on someone else's website instead of the author's own.
No list, no next launch
Every launch starts from zero, because nobody captured an email address at the last one.
What you get
Reading order, editions, what's out and what's coming. Every book gets its own page so search engines have something to rank other than your name.
The highest-converting page an author can have. Read it on the page, or trade an email for it — your call. Buy links at the bottom.
Amazon, Kindle, Kobo, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, IngramSpark, your own signed copies. Readers buy where they already have an account.
Real quotes from Amazon and Goodreads, with names and dates, marked up so Google can show the stars.
Connected to a real mailing list, with the free chapter sent automatically. Your next launch starts with an audience.
Signings, festivals, launch nights — with tickets, venue and date marked up so they show properly in search and on social.
Title tags, meta, Book and Event schema, sitemap. Aimed at the genre and the title, not just your name.
Hand-built, no page-builder bloat, loads instantly on a phone. On your own domain, with domain, hosting and deployment handled.
New book, new review, new event, new cover — email it over and it's live the same day. No dashboard to learn, no subscription. Most authors publish once or twice a year; you get a person who answers instead of software you have to fight.
How it works
Step one
We build a page for your actual book, with your covers and your words, before you pay anything. You see it, then decide.
Step two
Blurbs, chapter one, reviews, events, retailer links. You send what you have; we write around the gaps.
Step three
Domain, hosting, deployment, redirects from the old site so nothing you've already earned in search is lost.
Step four
Email the change, it's live the same day. New book, new review, new date — included for twelve months.
Who it's for
You need somewhere permanent before launch night, not after. A page that sells tickets now and books forever.
The moment reading order starts costing you sales. Best time to fix it is before the next one lands.
Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace. It works, roughly, and you have stopped touching it because every change is a fight.
Bulk orders for schools and programmes, editions, speaking enquiries. A different set of buttons, same idea.
FAQ
You email the change and it's live the same day, included for twelve months. There's no dashboard, which is the trade: no software to learn, but you're relying on a person. Most authors publish once or twice a year, so the volume is small. If you'd rather log in and edit it yourself, say so and we'll build it on a lightweight CMS instead.
No. We map every existing URL to its new home and set up redirects before switching over, so anything already ranking keeps working.
Yes — signed copies and direct sales can run through Stripe or Shopify. For most authors, though, sending readers to retailers converts better and is far less admin. We'll tell you honestly which one suits your setup.
Cover images, blurbs, your retailer links, chapter one if you want the free-chapter page, and any reviews you're proud of. If some of that doesn't exist yet, we build the space for it and fill it in later.
We use your words wherever they exist — your blurb, your bio, your reviews. Where there's a gap we draft something and you approve it. You're the writer; we're not going to talk over you.
The free concept is usually a day or two. A full site is about a week once we have your material. If you have a launch date, tell us and we'll work to it.
Tell us the title and where it's on sale. We'll build a concept page for it and send you the link. If you like it we'll finish it; if not, keep it anyway.
